About the town
Pomorie is a hidden gem on the Black Sea coast. Located on a narrow peninsular, it's not as popular as the bigger resorts of Sunny Beach and Golden Sands. The town is particularly renowned all over Bulgaria for its 'black gold' - Pomorie mud! The estuarine mud extracted from Lake Pomorie has a history going back thousands of years. The mud, rich in sulphur and iron, has been successfully used to treat a range of musculoskeletal, metabolic and skin conditions.
